1. Obituary: on 6 Mar 2009 in Concord, Cabarrus, NC, USA. ² MOUNT PLEASANT - Mrs. Yvonne Helms Faggart, 82, of 320 Moose Road, Mount Pleasant, entered her heavenly home March 5, 2009.

Mrs. Faggart was born in Cabarrus County, March 30, 1926, daughter of the late Walter C. Helms and Ina Eudy Helms.

She was retired from the Cabarrus County School system as a teachers assistant and bus driver, and was an active member of her church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Homer D. Faggart; sisters, Sue H. Lambert and Ada Rose H. Howard.

Surviving is her son, Mark A. Faggart and wife, Erlene, of Concord; daughters, Martha F. Alward and husband, Don, of Rockwell and Judy F. Munger and husband, Leo, of Mount Pleasant; sisters, Brown H. Faggart of Mount Pleasant and Bernice H. Mullis of Concord. Also 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 7, at 2 p.m. in the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, officiated by the Rev. Mitchell Wilson, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gordon Funeral Home of Mount Pleasant.
