Mr. and Mrs. Harold S. Barnes of 2524 W. Emmaus Ave., Allentown, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Nancy, to George M. Heathcote of New York City.
Miss Barnes, a graduate of Allen High School and Mt. Holyoke College, took graduate work at Oxford University, England, and Stanford University. She will receive her master's degree in education from Columbia University. Mr. Heathcote, a graduate of Lawrence Academy, Groton, attended Harvard University and received his law degree from William and Mary College.
He is employed in the advertising and marketing field. A late summer wedding is planned.
