He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Hope United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday (10-14-93) in the Smith & Buckner Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Billings officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Bonlee. He is survived by son, Rod Hackney of Rt. 1, Bear Creek; daughter, Mrs. Debra dobbins of Charlotte; brother, Cecil Hakcney of Robbins and four grandchildren.
