Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late, Abraham L. and Mayme L. (Greenawalt) Lauer. Lauer had been employed for 20 years as a bartender by the Goodwill Beneficial Association, Hyde Park, until 1994. He was last employed by Vanity Fair, Wyomissing, retiring in June 1999. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving is a stepson, Richard H. Wagner III, Reading. There is also a brother, Donald J., Allentown. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton. Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Sinking Spring, is in charge of arrangements.
