3. Census in 1900 in Oil Creek Twp., Venango, PA. 7 Hugo Bury, jeweler, 47, born Dec 1852, was married for 25 years to wife Catharine, 50, Feb 1850. She had birthed 3 children, all alive in 1900 and living with them: Anna M., 25, Nov 1874; Bertha B., 21, Apr 1879; and Jennie E., 9, Sep 1890. The children were born in Pennsylvania, and their parents and their parents in Germany. Hugo immigrated 29 years ago in 1870 and was naturalized; Catharine immigrated in 1870. He owned his home.

Bury on 31 May 1941 in Franklin, Venango, PA. 5 Katherine Schaeffer Bury, 91. widow of Hugo Bury, died Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Heaton, of 144 Buffalo Street. Mrs. Bury was born in Germany, Feb. 9, 1850, and came to the United States when 17 years old. She resided in Pleasantville from the time of her arrival in this country until four years ago, when she moved to Franklin to live with the Heatons. Mrs. Bury's husband died 35 years ago.
Mrs. Bury was well-known in the Pleasantville district. She was highly esteemed by a host of friends in Franklin and Pleasantville.
Surviving the deceased are two daughters, Mrs. Heaton, of Franklin. and Mrs. Bertha Schlosser, of Titusville, and eight grandchildren and three great grandchiidiren.
The body was removed to the Boyd N. Park Funeral Home, where services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock by the Rev. Frank S. McKnight, pastor of tne First Methodist Chunch and interment will be in the family plot in the Pleasantville Cemetery.


Katherine married Hugo Bury, son of Ferdinand Buri and Maria Anna Scherer. (Hugo Bury was born on 28 Dec 1852 in Heidenhofen, , BW, DEU 7 9, christened on 25 Jan 1853 in Donaueschingen: Katholisch, Villingen, Baden-Württemberg, DEU,10 died on 15 Apr 1906 in Pleasantville, Venango, PA 9 11 12 13 14 and was buried on 17 Apr 1906 in Pleasantville: Fairview Cemetery, Venango, PA 9 13.)
