She was a resident of Huntsdale, Cumberland County, since 1952. She was retired from Knouse Foods Coop, Inc. in Peach Glen. She was a member of the Centerville Lutheran Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Penn Township Fire Department.

Esther married Daniel Myron Bucher, son of John Wesley Bucher and Anna E. Keller. (Daniel Myron Bucher was born in 1906 in Bendersville, Adams, PA, died on 26 Feb 1988 in Carlisle, Cumberland, PA and was buried in Bendersville: Bendersville Cemetery, Adams, PA.)
