Census in 1910 in Allentown, Lehigh, PA. 2 Owning a home at 443 Hamilton Street in 1910 was Jacob Barnes, occupation "secretary bobbin works", 49, who was married for 6 years to wife Catherine, 41. She had given birth to 2 children, both alive in 1910: Douglass H., 4; and Harold S., 2. Also in the home was Jacob's sister, Lena, 45, and Amanda Kunkel, a 43-year old servant. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania, except Catherine was born in "Scot English" and immigrated in 1893.

2. Census in 1920 in Salisbury Twp., Lehigh, PA. 3 Jacob Barnes, occupation "secretary bobbin works", 58, was married to wife Catherine K., 51. Living with them: Douglas H., 14; and Harold S., 12. Also in the home was Marion C. Marsh, a 14-year old servant. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania, except Catherine was born in Scotland and immigrated in 1896.
