All others and their parents were born in Pennsylvania, except George's father in England. 2. Census in 1910 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA. 4 The 1910 census recorded owning a home at 1303 Broad Street: George Lancaster, manufacturer of vaults and safes, 40, living with wife Elizabeth, 40. they were married for 18 years and had birthed 1 child by 1910. Living with them was daughter Sonia, single, 15. Also in the home was father-in-law Lyman Beecher, widowed, 67; and three servants all born in Ireland: Robert Seebon, coachman, single, 35; Ellen Garrighty, chambermaid, single, 20; and Katherine E. Census in 1930 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA. 7 The 1930 census recorded Elizabeth Lancaster, widowed, 65, mother-in-law, living in the $40,000 home owned by Dr. J. Alexander Clarke Jr., physician, 38 and his wife Sophia L., 35. Living with them were three daughters: Elizabeth, student, 12; Anne, student, 8; and Matilda, 4. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania, except Alexander's father in New Jersey, and daughters Elizabeth and Anne were born in New York. 6. Census in 1940 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA. 8 The 1940 census recorded at 5307 Wakefield Street: Elizabeth Lancaster, widowed, 72, mother-in-law, living in the home owned by Dr. J. Alexander Clarke Jr., physician, 48 and his wife Sophia L., 45. Living with them were three daughters: Elizabeth, student, 22; Anne, student, 18; and Matilda D, 17.
