1. He immigrated from 1860 to 1864. The 1880 census has Michael's son John born in Bayern, Germany, about 1860; and his son Henry born in Pennsylvania in Oct, 1863. This indicates Michael immigrated 1860-1863. Further research needed to find the ship.

Census in 1880 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, PA. ² Living at 2027 Josephine St.: Michael Baker, laborer, 52, was with wife Aggetta, 50; son John, laborer, 20; Henry, breakman, 16; Elisabeth, 14; Josophine, 11; George, 9; and Kate, 7. John, his wife, their parents, and his son John were born in "Byerne" [Bayern, Germany]. The other children were born in Pennsylvania.
