2. Jacob was listed on a deed on 28 Nov 1859 in Penn Twp., Perry, PA. A Deed Agreement (Article of Agreement) was executed on November 28, 1859, between Jacob Bruner of Perry County and Jacob Beecher of Cumberland County, both in Pennsylvania. The agreement stipulates that Bruner will sell and convey a messuage and mill property to Beecher, in fee simple and free of all debt, on or before April 1, 1860.

The property being transferred is a 42-acre tract located in Penn Township, Perry County. Its boundaries are clearly defined by the neighboring landowners: it is bounded on the south by lands of Dr. P. Ebert and F. Albright, on the east by William Rote, on the north by I. Bruner (Sr.), and on the west by G. Bruce and others.

In consideration for the property, Jacob Beecher agrees to pay Jacob Bruner a total sum of $5,500. Payment is structured in installments: $2,000 is due on April 1, 1860, and $1,000 is due on April 1, 1861. The remaining balance will be paid in five equal annual payments, without interest. Additionally, Bruner agrees to leave specific items on the property, including any unused hay, straw, and corn fodder, as well as several pieces of mill equipment (crabar rench, cant pects, mill scales) and a stove. For the true performance of all covenants, both parties bind themselves to a penal sum of $500.

4. Census in 1870 in Tyrone Twp., Perry, PA. 2 Jacob Beecher, 72, occupation miller, is living with wife Lena, 75; son George, 43; Peggy, 39; and Elizabeth, 30. Also with them is Sarah Gould, 46. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. The post office is Landisburg. Jacob's real estate is valued at $4,500 and possessions worth $300.
