John B. Reeves, 72, Dies at Nanticoke John B. Reeves, 72. of 143 East Main Street, Nanticoke, died yesterday afternoon at 4:30 so in Nanticoke State General Hospital where he had been a patient since May 8. Born in Shenandoah October 13, 1894, he was Army veteran of World War was employed by F. W. Woolworth Company 45 years, having begun career in 1914 in Shenandoah. He served in eight stores. He was manager of the Nanticoke store many years. Mr. Reeves was a member of First Methodist Church of Nanticoke and was a trustee and member of its Official Board. He was a member Pulaski Lodge 216, F&AM, Pottsville; Nanticoke Craftsmen's Caldwell Consistory, Bloomsburg; Irem Temple and Knights Templar. He also was a member of Nanticoke Kiwanis Club and was a. former president. He also was president of Kiwanis clubs in Hazleton and Dover, N. J. Surviving are his widow, the former Blanche Snyder; children, Mrs. Paul Jones, Media; John B., Jr., West Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Thomas Holman, Sunnyvale, Calif.; brother, Charles W. Reeves, Philadelphia; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild. Funeral will be held from the funeral home, 84 Prospect Street, Nanticoke, Saturday at 1 Rev. E. Kermit Giles, pastor of First Methodist Church of Nanticoke, will officiate. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shenandoah. Friends may call today to 5 and 7 to 10. Nanticoke Lodge 541, F&AM, will conduct services tonight at 8.
