David M. Zimmerman, eighty-three, Leonardtown, Md., former county mill operator, died Monday at the home of his son, John, with whom he resided. He had operated the Rettew and Fiandt feed and flour mills in the Ephrata area for many years. He also was a farmer and cabinet maker. Zimmerman has 214 survivors, including 11 children, 94 grandchildren and 109 great grandchildren. Born near Martindale, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Zimmerman, he moved to Leonardtown about 12 years ago. His wife, Amelia Zimmerman, died eight years ago. Surviving are these children, Mary, wife of Weaver Martin, New Holland R1; Mabel, wife of Lloyd Zimmerman; Phares, David, all of Ephrata R3; Barbara, wife of Ammon Stauffer; Civilla, wife of Ammon Wenger; Paul, Monroe, John, Norman, and Harvey, all of Maryland.

David married Amelia Stahl Stauffer on 6 Jan 1896. (Amelia Stahl Stauffer was born on 8 Apr 1875 in Chapman Twp., Snyder, PA,³ died in Jul 1950 in Leonardtown, St. Mary's, MD ^{2 3} and was buried in Loveville: Stauffer Mennonite Cemetery, St. Mary's, MD ³.)
