10. Obituary: Gazette and Daily: Mrs. Florence Beecher, 80, Claimed By Death on 9 Apr 1970 in York, York, PA. 6 Hallam -- Mrs. Florence Briggs Beecher, formerly of SouthBroad street, died Tuesday at 10:20 p.m. at Rest Haven-York Convalescent home. The widow of William R. Beecher, she was 80.
Mrs. Beecher was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist church. Surviving are a son, William J. Beecher, 911 South Russell street, York, and a sister, Mrs. Iva Heisley, Westmont, N. J.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Robert F. Koller Funeral home, 200 West Market street, York. Rev. Vance Dimmick Jr., Mrs. Beecher's pastor, will officiate, assisted by Rev. Charles L. Trott, pastor of Grace Baptist church, near Yorkana. Interment will be in Mt. Prospect cemetery, Seven Valleys.
