1. Obituary: Sunbury Daily Item on 9 Oct 2006 in Sunbury, Northumberland, PA. ¹ SUNBURY - Margaret L. "Marg" Bucher, 74, of Sunbury, died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland. She was born July 5, 1932, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late William and Luella (Martz) Hassinger. On Sept. 25, 1948, she married Claude S. Bucher, who preceded her in death Feb. 11, 1985.

Marg worked most of her life at Pen-Spruce Manufacturing, Sunbury.

She was a very caring and loving lady. For Marg, her family always came first.

Surviving are two sons, Steven S. of Coal Township and Harry J. of Shamokin; two grandchildren, John A. Sr. and Adam M.; three great-grandchildren, John Jr., Madelyn and Alyssa; one brother, Paul "Buck" of Shamokin; three sisters, Cheryl Dreese and Mary Hassinger, both of Sunbury, and Edith Bastian of Georgia; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no viewing or visitation. A private service will be held at the discretion of the family.

Burial will be in Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Bucher's memory may be made to Victory Bible Church, RR1, Box 330, Paxinos, PA 17860. Arrangements are by the David T. Zweier Funeral Home Inc., 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury.

Margaret married Claude S. Bucher, son of Claude E. Bucher and Hazel F. Silverwood, on 25 Sep 1948.¹ (Claude S. Bucher was born on 26 Jan 1927 in Sunbury, Northumberland, PA ² and died on 11 Feb 1985 in Sunbury, Northumberland, PA ^{1 2}.)
