Vocal solos were by Mrs. Wilton strickler with organ accompaniment by Miss Joyce Thomas in a church decorated with palms. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a ballerina-length gown featuring a bodice of chantilly lace with short sleeves and scoop neckline. Her skirth was of silk organza over taffeta. She wore a white velvet crown trimmed with pearls and carried a nosegay of white rosebuds and pompons. Mrs. Wayne Dellinger, York, matron of honor, wore a light green dress of peau de sole with matching headband and carried a bouquet of white rosebuds. Best man was Gerald Settle, Gettysbury. Jack Crist and Tom Kitzmiller, Gettysburg, were ushers. Following the ceremony a reception was held in the Lutheran parish house for 175 persons. The couple then left on a wedding trip to the Pocono Mountains, with the bride choosing a blue cord suit as her traveling costume. On their return they will reside in Gettysburg. The bride is a graduate of Wrightsville High School and Thompson's Business School and is employed by the Caterpillar Tractor Co., York. The bridgegroom is a graduate of Barber School in Philadelphia and is the owner of Lower's Barber Shop, Gettysburg.
