John, Jennie, and Cifford and their parents were born in Scotland. John immigrated in 1887, Jennie in 1872, and they became U.S. citizens in 1896. Dorothy and Anna were born in Pennsylvania.

Obituary: Pottsville Republican: obituary of Jeanette Fairlie Jones on 15 Mar 1948 in Pottsville, Schuylkill, PA. ¹ Mrs. Jeanette Fairlie Jones died the home of her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Rodman, 120 Swatara Road, Shenandoah Heights, on Monday morning at 1.45 o'clock. A daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Mackey Clifford, she was born in Scotland and came to this country with her parents at the age of six years. She was a member of the Presbyterian church, Shenandoah; of the Juniata Circle No. Daughters of Pocohontas Camp No. 12; Daughters of Rebekah and Order of Eastern Star No. 262, all of Shenandoah. She was first married to Michael Fairlie, who died in 1904 and in 1919 married John Jones, who died the same year. Surviving are two daughters, Miss Anna Fairlie, at home; Mrs. Fred Rodman, with whom she lived; two sons. Irvin Fairlie, Buffalo, N.Y. and Alex Fairlie. Ashland; and these stepchildren, Elmer Jones, Harrisburg; George and Joseph Jones, Mechanicsburg and Mrs. Dorothy Beecher, Frackville; one sister, Mrs. Robena Kace, Shenandoah and six grandchildren. Funeral from the Rodman home on Thursday afternoon. Burial in the Odd Fellows cemetery, Shenandoah. W. Harry Waters is the funeral director.
