Obituary: Pottsville Republican: obituary of Mrs. Heckman on 28 Jun 1888 in Pottsville, Schuylkill, PA. ⁵ Mrs. Heckman, widow of Samuel Heckman, who was killed in the army, died at her home in New Castle on Saturday evening, of dropsy. She has been an invalid for a long time and had but recently succeeded in procuring a much needed increase of pension. Her daughter arrived here last evening and was conveyed to that place at a late hour in the evening.

Mary married Daniel Ocum, son of Jacob Ocum and Catharina Wolfe. (Daniel Ocum was born about 1817 in , Berks, PA ⁶ and died before 1860 in New Castle Twp., Schuylkill, PA.)
