5. Obituary: Daily Local News on 8 Jul 2002 in West Chester, Chester, PA. ^{1 2} Harold S. Beecher, Jr., 62, of Paoli (PA) died Saturday, July 6, 2002, at New Seasons of Exton. Born in Coatesville (PA), he was the son of the late Harold S. Sr. and Myrtle Shaw Beecher.

He graduated from West Chester High School in 1958 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1958 to 1963. Harold received a bachelor's degree from Shippensburgh University in 1968 and his master's degree from Widener University in 1977. At the time of his death, he was self-employed as an accountant and business owner.

He was a founding member of the Currency Club of Chester County and held numerous leadership positions in coin, currency and stamp organizations. Mr. Beecher is survived by two sisters, Carol Brown of Forksville (PA) and Nancy Christy of West Chester.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall (PA).
