1. Obituary: on 8 Aug 1967 in Kansas City, Wyandotte, KS. Mrs. Rose Mary DeVine, 70 years old, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 1967, at St. Margaret Hospital. Mrs. DeVine resided at1940 North 25th in Kansas City, Kansas, and was a lifelong resident of the city. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and its Altar Society. Mrs. DeVine was also a member of the Legion of Mary. She retired in 1952 after more than 25 years at Armour & Company.

Mrs. DeVine was survived by two sons, Lawrence William DeVine of 3220 North 66th Terrace and Eugene Thomas DeVine of 94 South Seventh, both in Kansas City, Kansas, and nine grandchildren.

The Rosary recitation was at the Gibson-Butler Chapel, where the family received friends. The Funeral Mass was celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church followed by interment at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Rose married John E. Devine, son of Patrick Devine and Mary A. Gannon. (John E. Devine was born in Dec 1887 in Emmett Twp., Pottawatomie, KS,² died in Dec 1952 ^{1 3} and was buried on 12 Dec 1952 in Kansas City: Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wyandotte, KS ³.)
