A native of Watsonville, Mr. Duckworth was raised in Monterey. He lived later in Monrovia and moved to Aptos in 1984.
Mr. Duckworth serviced in the U.S. Army for six years. Later, he worked as a plant engineer at Lever Brothers for 20 years.
Mr. Duckworth was a member of SIRS. He was an avid fisherman and golfer. He enjoyed bowling on the Felton Seniors Bowling Team. He loved traveling with his wife.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Terry Duckworth of Aptos; his daughter, Mary Duckworth of Pasadena; his stepdaughters, Barabara Harris of San Jose and Stephanie Harris of Oakland; his sister, Viola Olivera of Henderson, Nev.; and by many nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Resurrection Roman Catholic Church, 7600 Soquel Drive, in Aptos.
