2. Census in 1880 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, PA. 3 The 1880 census recorded on Tioga Street in Homewood: George Bradley, occupation alderman, 38, living with wife Elizabeth K., 34; Lillie B., 14; Alexander, 9; and Zella May, 4. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania.

3. Occupation: Alderman of Twenty-First Ward on 1 Jan 1882 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, PA. 4

5. Census in 1900 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, PA. The 1900 census recorded renting at 202 Lang Avenue: George Bradley, clerk in court house, 58, born Mar 1842, living with wife Mary, 40, Jan 1860; Charles Bradley, 10, Apr 1890; and Gladys Bradley, 8, May 1892. They were married about 15 years. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania, except George's mother in Virginia, and Mary's parents in Wales.

Obituary: Pittsburgh Daily Post: obituary of George Bradley on 18 Nov 1902 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, PA. 5 George Bradley, 61 years old, died yesterday at his home, 202 North Lang avenue, East End. He was born in Pittsburg and had resided in this city all his life. For many years he had been connected with the clerk of courts office. He enlisted in Company F, One Hundred and Fifty-fifth Pennsylvania volunteers at the outbreak of the Civil war, but was honorably discharged after one year's service. He received a gun shot wound in the left thigh during the battle of Fredricksburg. Mr. Bradley was a member of the Union Veteran Legion and Post 117 G. A. R. He is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Mary Davis, and five children. He is also survived by two brothers, Charles, of this city, and William, of Detroit, and one sister, Mrs. Isabell Duff.

Obituary: Pittsburgh Weekly Gazette: obituary of George Bradley on 18 Nov 1902 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, PA. 6 George Bradley, for many years identified with the office of the clerk of courts, died of heart trouble yesterday morning at his home, No. 202 North Lang avenue. Mr. Bradley had been ill for nearly a year, but had been confined to the house only about four weeks. He was born in Pittsburgh over 60 years ago. In 1862 he enlisted with Company F, One Hundred and Fifty-fifth Pennsylvania volunteers, but was discharged the following year, owing to a severe wound in his left thigh, received at the battle of Fredricksburg. He is survived by two brothers, Charles, associated with the Bartlett Stove and Range Company, and William, of Detroit, and by a sister, Mrs. Isabelle Duff, widow of Dr. John M. Duff of Pittsburgh. He leaves five children and a widow, who was Miss Mary Davis of Pittsburgh. The funeral services at 2:30 Wednesday from the residence in Lang avenue will be conducted by Rev. W. E. McCulloch of the Hamilton Avenue U. P. church. The services at the grave will be in charge of the Union Veteran Legion.


George married Elizabeth K. Beecher, daughter of David Beecher and Martha Jane Appleton. (Elizabeth K. Beecher was born about 1846 in Birmingham Twp., Allegheny County, PA,9 died on 1 Jan 1882 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, PA 4 10 and was buried on 3 Jan 1882 in Pittsburgh: Allegheny Cemetery, Allegheny, PA 10.)


George next married Mary S. Davis on 4 Apr 1886 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, PA.1 (Mary S. Davis was born on 1 Jan 1860 in Mansfield, Allegheny, PA 1.)
