1. Obituary: Lima News: obituary of George W. Saylor on 13 Dec 1937 in Lima, Allen, OH. KENTON, Dec. 13 - Funeral rites for George W. Saylor, 94, one of the few remaining Civil war veterans of the Belle Center district who died Saturday, will be held Monday at 2 p. m. at the McLain Funeral home in Belle Center with burial to be in the Belle Center cemetery. Saylor was one of the five remaining Civil war veterans in Logan Co. He was a native of Indiana but had lived in Belle Center for many years. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Belle Center Methodist Episcopal church. Surviving are eight sons, Clark H. Saylor of Lima, Robert E. Saylor of Belle Center, George E. Saylor of Jackson, Mich,. Sherman Saylor of Waverly, Sheridan Saylor of St. Paris, Samuel Saylor of Chino, Calif., Walter Saylor of Economy, Ind., and Alonzo Saylor of Waverly; three daughters, Miss Hazel Saylor at home, Mrs. Viola Weaver of Lima and Mrs. Ethel Baughman of Decatur, Ind.
