4. VERONICA BRENNEMAN(1), b. 2-24-1751, d. 1-5-1804, married. 4-5-1768 Christian Bucher, b. 3-27-1742, d. 12-27-1825, son. of Christian Bucher, Sr., a Swiss refugee who located in the western part of Donegal township about 1760 and died there in 177 . Christian Bucher, Sr., had at least 2 other children: Susan, who married Melchior Brenneman, 3rd(3), and Martin, who removed to southern Lancaster Co., and had a large family.

On 4-17-1768 Rev. Melchior, 2d, transferred the Fulton and Bryan tracts previously referred to, totaling 350 ¼ acres, to his son-in-law Christian Bucher. This was evidently his daughter Veronica's marriage portion. Christian already owned much land in his own right, and became one of the wealthiest citizens of East Donegal. Senator Haldeman says: "In a draft of a will, dividing his property among his children, he seems to have valued his real estate at some $90,000. He owned about one square mile of land along the Maytown-Elizabethtown road, and he and his wife are buried in a small family burial ground on this property. "The Forry farm is part of this land," wrote Sen. Haldeman in 1895, adding that John Hollinger was then living on the original Bucher homestead, which had been out of the family name for many decades.

Christian and Veronica Bucher had 8 children: Anna, Elizabeth, Veronica, Christian, Mary, John, Martin and Joseph.

Frances married Christian Bucher, son of Hans Martin Bucher and Elizabeth Bomberger, on 5 Apr 1768.1 (Christian Bucher was born on 27 Mar 1742 in Warwick Twp., Lancaster, PA 1 2 5 and died on 27 Dec 1825 in Donegal Twp., Lancaster, PA 1 2 5.)
