Deborah Marie Becker and Douglas George Bicher were united in marriage during a double ring candlelight ceremony at 6 p.m. Saturday in St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Schaefferstown.
The Rev. William Miller officiated. Mrs. Faye Horst, organist, and Miss Laurite White, soloist, provided nupital music. A reception for 175 guests was held at Trainer's Restaurant, Stouchsburg.
The bride, given in marriage by her parents, was attired in a white floor length gown ow organza trimmed in venise lace, with train. Her long veil with blusher of illusion was held by a juliet cap. She carried a white Bible covered with a cascading bouquet of white and yellow sweetheart roses and daisies.
Attendants for the bride were Miss Teri Ontkos, niece of the bride as maid of honor in yellow; Miss Lori Emerich in pink, Miss Star Moser in light blue, and Miss Gail Eberly in nile green.
All the attendants wore floor length organza and matching picture hats. The flower girl, Miss Janell Kline, was dressed similarly in light lavender with a floral headpiece. They all carried baskets of daisies, mum and baby's breath and ivy.
Dane Bicher, brother of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were Thomas Wida, Paul Neiswender and Gary Albert. The ring bearer was Travis Bicher, cousin of the groom.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Lester H. Becker of Newmanstown RD 1 and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bicher of 207 W. Main Ave., Myerstown.
Both the bride and groom are 1973 graduates of Eastern Lebanon County High School. She formerly attended nursing school in Lancaster and he is employed by the Myerstown Borough.
