Obituary: Intelligencer Journal on 14 Oct 1938 in Lancaster, Lancaster, PA. ³ Mrs. Mary Bucher, eighty-three, widow of Reuben Bucher died at 2:15 a.m., Thursday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Shellenberger, of 333 Beaver street, of a complication of diseases. She was born in this city, the daughter of the late Reuben and Catherine Lawrence. Two children survive: Conrad, of New Providence; and Catherine, wife of Harry Shellenberger, with whom she resided; two brother, John and Martin Lawrence, both of this city.

Mary married Reuben Bucher, son of Conrad Bucher and Margaret. (Reuben Bucher was born on 7 Feb 1857 in Lancaster, Lancaster, PA,^{4 5} died on 12 Aug 1906 in Strasburg, Lancaster, PA ⁵ and was buried in Lancaster: Woodward Hill Cemetery, Lancaster, PA ⁵.)
