2. Census in 1950 in Woodlynne, Camden, NJ. 4 The 1950 census recorded at 110 Cedar Avenue: Lorenzo H. Beecher, cloth sponger at clothing house, 68, living with wife Emma J., 62; and Emma's father, John N. Gross, 86. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania.

3. Obituary: Courier-Journal: obituary of John N. Gross on 25 Oct 1950 in Camden, Camden, NJ. 2 JOHN N. GROSS -- Services for John N. Gross, 87, will be held Friday at 2 p. m. in the funeral home at 1820 Chestnut street, Philadelphia, where friends may call Thursday night. Burial will be in Montrose cemetery, Upper Darby, Pa. Mr. Gross, who lived at 110 Cedar avenue, Woodlynne, died Monday in his home. A native of Gap, Pa., he lived at 819 South 4th. St. in Woodlynne four years and previously resided in Philadelphia. He was a retired freight conductor of the Pennsylvania Railroad by which company he was employed 54 years, retiring July 1, 1933. He was the oldest member in the East of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, of which he would have been a member 65 years on Jan. 21, 1951. He was the fourth oldest member of the union in the nation. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Emma J. Beecher, of the Woodlynne address, and Mrs. Eisie Brown, Green Lane, Pa.; two sons. Horace, of the Woodlynne address, and Willard, Collingswood, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
