1. Newspaper: The Sentinel: Marriages - Campbell-Beecher, 17 Sep 1963, Carlisle, Cumberland, PA. 2 Miss Nancy C. Beecher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Beecher, RD1, Shippensburg, was married to James L. Campbell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Campbell, Dry Run, Pa., at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 7, 1963, at the home ot the bridegroom. The Rev. Charles W. Best, Dry Run, performed the double ring ceremony. Mrs. Clarence Cramer, Jr., RD1, Shippensburg, was the organist. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor-length gown of chantilly lace and tulle fashioned with a casque bodice with long sleeves and a scooped neckline embellished with sequins and tiny seed pearls. The front of the full circular skirt was styled with an offset of nylon tulle enhanced with lace motifs decorated with sequins and tiny seed pearls and the skirt back featured tiered lace edged with nylon tulle. Her bouffant veil of pure silk imported English illusion was attached to a chantilly lace flower decorated with sequins and seed pearls and she carried a cascade of white Fall flowers. Miss Rebecca Lea Beecher was her sister's maid of honor. Jonie Lea Frengel, niece of the bride, was the flower girl. The maid of honor wore a pale blue gown of chiffon over taffeta and carried a cascade bouquet of blue Fall flowers. The flower girl wore a white dress with a lace bodice and nylon skirt and carried a basket of blue and white Fall flowers. The mother of the bride wore a printed jersey dress with brown accessories and the bridegroom's mother wore a green dress with brown accessories. Both wore corsages of white carnations. David Junkin, Dry Run, was the best man. Robert Campbell, cousin of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer. Following the ceremony a reception for 60 guests was held at the home of the newlyweds on their farm near Dry Run. The bride is a graduate of Big Spring High School in the class of 1962. The bridegroom was graduated from the Fannett Metal High School in 1962. He is engaged in farming.
