R. 6., became the bride of F. Kent Beecher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Beecher, 1125 North Courtland avenue.
The Rev. J. M. Horne performed the ceremony, using the double ring service. Palms and Easter lillies formed the setting for the wedding.
The organist, Miss Agnes Lee Smith, played "Ah Sweet Mystery of Life" and "O Promise Me" during the service.
Attending the couple were Mrs. Eva Atwater and William Kearnie.
The bride wore a navy blue lace dress with rose accessories and her flowers were roses and sweetpeas.
Mrs. Atwater's dress of dusty rose was worn with Dubonnet accessories.
Mr. and Mrs. Beecher are spending a few days in South Bend and on their return will be at home in their newly furnished apartment in the home of the bride's mother. A wedding dinner for the couple was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rudduck at Mishawaka. The bride traveled in an Eleanor blue crepe dress with navy accessories.
Mrs. Beecher was graduated from Kokomo high school in 1932 and has been employed at Hopkins Brothers Inc. Mr. Beecher, graduated from Butler university where he was a member of the Kappa Delta Rho fraternity, is owner of the Beecher Cleaners. He is scoutmaster of Troop No. 21.

Dixon Road, died at 4:57 a.m. Thursday, May 20, 1993, in Saint Joseph Hospital & Health Center. She was born Sept. 29, 1915, in Kokomo, a daughter of Carl and Julia (Snow) Hale. She had been a loan officer, a bookkeeper for several furniture stores and waa first deputy to the clerk of Howard Circuit Court. She also was office administrator for Howard County United Way until she retired in 1981. She was a member of Main Street Christian Church, now known as First Christian Church. She served as organist, choir director, deaconess, children's department superintendent, teacher of adult classes, president of Women's Christian Fellowship Circle and wedding coordinator at the church. She also served as an organist for St. Luke's Evangelical United Brethren Church and assisted with Howard County Council of Churches leadership training school. She was a member of Kokomo Chapter of American Business Women's Association, where she served on the executive board, and in 1963 was selected as Woman of the Year. She was a member of National Legal Secretaries Association, where she served as state chairwoman and education chairwoman of the local association. She had been active in Women's Democrat Club and the former Kokomo Civic Choir and was a volunteer worker for the American Red Cross. She had been active in Parent-Teachers Association and served as president. She served as national president, vice president and historian of Sigma Eta Sorority, Fine Arts Inc., and as president of Kokomo Rho chapter. Always eager to learn, she enrolled in computer training at Indiana Vocational Technical College in 1990 and became computer literate. She also will be remembered for her award-winning counted-cross stitch, which brought her hours of pleasure, April 9, 1939, she married F. Kent "Hap" Beecher, who died March 3, 1981. Surviving are a daughter, N. Joyce Brown of Kokomo and she was a loving grandmother to four grandchildren, Steven K. Larson and wife Christina, Jeffrey M. Larson, Linda J. Meeks and husband Mark J., and Catherine L. Jewell, all of Kokomo; nine great-grandchildren, Erica J. Newton, Keenan J. Meeks, Susan A. Jewell, Christopher Jewell, Terry L. Larson, Shannon R. Larson, Gregory S. Martin, Kevin M. Martin and Scott A. Larson; a brother, Marion Hale of Swayzee; and a sister, Wanita Amett of Kokomo. Preceding her in death were a sister, Vera Hutchins and a great-grandchild, Aaron Jewell. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First Christian Church. The Rev. Fred Dorisse will officiate. Entombment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Fenn Funeral Home and one hour before services Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church.
