6. Newspaper: Bristol Daily Courier: Aged Woman Hit, 18 Oct 1954, Bristol, Bucks, PA. 11 Earlier Saturday evening, Louise Beecher, 74, of Main st., Newportville, was struck by an automobile in front of her home driven by Thomas Vaughn, 20, of Lower Creed road, Newportville.
The victim was rushed to Bristol General hospital, by the Bucks County Rescue Squad where she was treated for a severe laceration of the lower right arm.
Patrolman Thomas Stewart, Bristol township, said Vaughn, at the outset arrested on a charge of assault and battery by auto, was sent to Bucks County Prison on a violation of parole.

Obituary: Bristol Daily Courier: obituary of Mrs. Louise Beecher on 19 Feb 1962 in Bristol, Bucks, PA. 5 Mrs. Louise Beecher, a resident of Newportville for 38 years, died Saturday night at the age of 82. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Faust Funeral Home, 902 Bellevue Ave., Hulmeville. The William Relyea MacLachlan, pastor of the Neshamony Methodist Church, Hulmeville, will officiate the services. Interment will be in Hatboro Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m. Mrs. Beecher, widow of the late Rene P. Beecher, is survived by three sons, Walter Fox, Cornwells Heights; George Beecher, Eddington; and Rene G. 4601 Newportville Road, Newportville, with whom she lived. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
