  Noted events in her life were:

1. Obituary: LEWISBURG \endash Marion Muir Bucher, 237 S. Third St., active in community affairs, died Wednesday at 9:05 p.m. in the Evangelical Community Hospital. She had lived in Lewisburg for 15 years.
Mrs. Bucher lived for many years in Mount Lebanon, where she served on the state board of the Parent-Teacher Association. She was active in the Summer Day Camp program, the Women's Club of Mount Lebanon and the youth center. Because of her innovations and long time interest in youth, Mrs. Bucher was one of 10 women chosen in the nation to represent the United States at the opening session of UNESCO at the invitation of Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Since moving to Lewisburg, she has been a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, serving as president of the women's organization and the Church Women United. She was also a member of the Shikelimo Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a charter member of the Union County Historical Society.
Mrs. Bucher was married to the late Colonel Harold Follmer Bucher.
She is survived by two sons, Harold F. of Rockville, Md., and William M. of Potomac, Md.; one daughter, Mrs. Richard E. Snyder of Gibson Island, Md.; and nine grandchildren.
Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. John I. Geiss of Baltimore.
The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church, Lewisburg, by the Rev. Richard N Merritt. Burial will be in the Watsontown Cemetery.
Friends and relatives will be received in the John H. Shaw III Funeral Home, Lewisburg, Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. and Friday evening.
Friends may wish to contribute in her memory to the Memorial Fund of the First Presbyterian Church, Lewisburg.


Marion married Harold Follmer Bucher Sr., son of George Benjamin McClelland Bucher and Sarah Kimmel Follmer. (Harold Follmer Bucher Sr. was born on 1 Jun 1889 in Watsontown, Northumberland, PA,4 5 died on 19 Dec 1956 in Mount Lebanon, Allegheny, PA 1 5 and was buried in Watsontown, Northumberland, PA 1 5.)
