Census in 1930 in Catawissa, Columbia, PA. ² The 1930 census recorded at 148 Second Street: Bessie Kern, widow, 52, living with a boarder, Chester Bucher, radio mechanic in a radio store, 25, who is the brother of Bessie's daughter-in-law, Dorothy Bucher Kern. They are their parents were born in Pennsylvania.
