Joseph was born in Ireland in Maghera. Frances L. was born in England in Burbage. The children were born in Chorlton-on-Medlock. 2. She immigrated The Lytle family arrived in New York from Moville, Ireland on ship Circassia: Joe Lytle 35, solicitor; Frances, 34, wife; F M. 6; Eva M. 4. On 14 Sep 1886 to New York, New York, NY. 5 3. Census in 1900 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA. 9 The 1900 census recorded owning a home at 923 N. 42nd Street: Joseph Lytle, reporter, 40, living with wife Louisa F., 38; daughters Francis B., 21, born Mar 1879; Eva B., 18, Feb 1881; and son Chas. J., 8, Dec 1891. Everyone was born in England except Joseph in Ireland and Chas. in Pennsylvania. 4. Census in 1910 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA. 10 The 1910 census recorded at 2132 Mount Vernon Street: Francis Little, 59, born in England, as a servant in the home of Christopher Keen, wood worker in funriture factory, 57. The census lists her as "widowed" but on her later U.S. Passport application she stated she was divorced from Joseph Lytle. 5. Francis applied on U.S. Passport application 183620 on 31 May 1922 in New York, New York, NY. 2 In her 1922 passport application Frances Lytle says she separated from Joseph in 1901, he later divorced her and resided in Philadelphia until 1917 then went to Ireland. In her son Charles passpost application, he states his mother took in in Nov 1907 to France to be educated. 6. Residence: Sunnybank Westcourt, Burbage, England in 1940 in Burbage, , WIL, ENG. 7 7. Effects 168 pounds 9s. 9d. Francis married Joseph Lytle, son of James Lytle and Martha Mullen, on 22 Apr 1878 in Saint Mary, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.1 2 The marriage ended in divorce in 1901.
