3. Obituary: The News Journal: obituary of Cora Payne Baker on 26 Mar 1994 in Wilmington, New Castle, DE. 5 CORA PAYNE BAKER, 82, of Mountain City, Tenn., died Thursday in Johnson City (Tenn.) Medical Center. Mrs. Baker lived most of her life in Tennessee and in Elkton, Md. Mrs. Baker is survived by three sons, William G. Payne of Nottingham, Pa., Walter R. Payne of Elkton and Samuel G. Payne of Elizabethton; six daughters, Etta Mae Parsons of Mountain City, Geraldine Swift, Mary Marden and Dorothy White, all of Elkton, Barbara Beacher of Newark, Del., and Maggie Anthony of North East, Md.; a stepson, James R. Payne of Beckley, W.Va.; three stepdaughters, Myrtle Rodriguez of Vero Beach, Fla., Essie Good of Beckley and Lacy Cress of Mountain City; a sister, Annie Phillips of West Grove, Pa.; 30 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and several step grandchildren. A service will be at 2 today at Mountain City Presbyterian Church. Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight at Henson Funeral Home, Mountain City. Burial will be in Reece Memorial Cemetery, Mountain City.
