1. Obituary: Lancaster Intelligencer Journal on 17 May 2006 in Lancaster, Lancaster, PA. 1 Anna Mary Bucher, 78, formerly of Ephrata, died following a short illness at the Mennonite Home nursing facility, Lancaster, on Tuesday, May 16, 2006.
She was born in Lampeter Township, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Daniel and Edna (Martin) Denlinger. She was the wife of the late Paul C. Bucher who died in 1990.
She was a member of the Neffsville Mennonite Church. Formerly of Ephrata, she moved to Woodcrest Villa Retirement Community in 1998.
In addition to being a housewife, she was employed by Hollinger's Farm Markets bake shop and John Martin Bake Shop.
Surviving are her children, Jay R., husband of Pamela (Kraus) Bucher of Lancaster, James D., husband of Laura (Davis) Bucher of Virginia Beach, VA, John D., husband of Sharon (Crills) Bucher of Harrisonburg, VA, Lorraine B., wife of Gary A. Henly of Reinholds, 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Irvin, married to Pauline (Eckman) Denlinger of Lancaster, Miriam, wife of Ernest Mellinger of Lancaster, Robert, husband of Emmajane (Robinson) Denlinger of Nine Points, Rhoda, wife of Robert Dombach of Strasburg, Aaron, husband of Joyce (Hawthorne) Denlinger of E. Petersburg, Ruth, wife of Gordon Mellinger of Strasburg, and Betty, wife of Gene Neff of Christiana, PA.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 20, 2006 at the Neffsville Mennonite Church, 2371 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, with Rev. Dwight Rohrer and Rev. John Meck officiating. A private interment will be held in the Hammer Creek Mennonite Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Friday, May 19th from 7 - 8:30 PM.
The family requests memorial contributions in Anna Mary's memory be sent to Neffsville Mennonite Church, 2371 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601. Arrangements by Stradling Funeral Homes, Akron/Ephrata.
