Obituary: York Dispatch on 18 Dec 1926 in York, York, PA. ⁹ Cornelius Shaffer Emig. 80 years old, Civil War veteran and retired butcher, who lived in the rear of 550 East Maple street, died of pneumonia at 3:15 o'clock this morning at the late home. He was a private in Company B, 187 Regiment, Pennsylvania. during the Civil war. He is survived by five children: George H., 519 East Boundary avenue; Albert O., 529 East Boundary avenue; Cornelius. Jr., 512 Prospect street; William Wallick. 523 East Boundary avenue and Mrs. E. A. Koons, 100 East South street: two brothers: Albert, East King street and Franklin, Ephrata, Pa.; 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. The funeral will be held next Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William Wallick, 523 East Boundary avenue. Interment will be in Mt. Rose cemetery.
