Katie M., nee Butz, wife of George E. Knerr, died on Tuesday afternoon at her late home, on the road between Emaus and Standard, of influenza. She was a daughter of Levi W. Butz and his late wife, Calistina, nee Romig, aged forty years, nine months and four days. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Beulah, at home; two sons, Elmer, at home; Alton B., of Friendensville; her father, three brothers, Howard and Harry, of
East Texas, and George, somewhere in France, also one grandson, and three sisters: Mrs. Russell Dorney, of East Texas; Mrs. Edwin Butz, of Wescoesville R. F. D., and Mrs. Jacob Romig, of Mountainville. The funeral services will be held at her late home on Sunday at 12.30 p. m. Further services in Evangelical Church at East Texas. Interment in cemetery adjoining. Rev. Ely officiating.

Katie married George Elmer Knerr, son of Willoughby Knerr and Martha Ann C. Schlicher, on 14 Aug 1897 in Emmaus, Lehigh, PA.
