Beecher, age 63, of Fayetteville, PA passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 in her home. Born January 16, 1949 in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Dora Rotz Evans.

Mrs. Beecher worked as a Certified Nurses Aid from 1981 until 1995 at the South Mountain Restoration Center, where she continued her career as a Registered Nurse after her graduation from Hagerstown Junior College until her retirement in 2009. She enjoyed working with puzzles, gardening, collecting antique glass shoes, shopping QVC, and spending time with family, especially during the holidays.

Surviving is her husband of 46 years, James Lee Beecher, whom she married on January 29, 1966; here children, Tammy L. Regi (Alan) of Fayetteville, PA; Kim M. Wolfe (Kevin Murphy) of Fayetteville, PA; Nicole A. Keefer (John) of Orrstown, PA; Kevin J. Beecher (Michele) of Chambersburg, PA; her grandchildren, Kolton Regi, Steven Wolfe, Kayla Wolfe (Dustin), Kendra Difenderfer (Eric), and Luke and Molly Keefer; her great-grandchildren, Jaelin, Braedon, Miranda, Paetyn, and Gunnar; and six siblings, Leroy Evans, Jane Evans, John F. Evans, Linda Hoke, Sue Naugle, and Richard Evans.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 10 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Terry Hoke will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 17, 2012 from 6:00 until 9:00 PM and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home on Tuesday. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, The Gateway for Cancer Research, 1331 Wyoming Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19124.
