Funeral services for Edward Pittenturf, 55, Gettysburg R. 3, who died suddenly Saturday morning of a coronary thrombosis, be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Bender Funeral Home, Carlisle St., with the Rev. Donald Harper officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call this evening from 7 to 9 o'clock at the funeral home. The deceased had been trimming raspberry bushes Saturday morning in the yard at his when he became ill. He walked into the house and sat on a kitchen chair. Moments later death occurred, and the county coroner, Dr. C. G. Crist, was summoned. A native of Gettysblurg. he was a son of the late Frank Powes and Mary (Beecher) Pittenturf, and was a painter. He was a member of the local Eagles Surviving are his wife, the former Marie Woodward, to whom he had been wed 33 years, and four children; Edward Pittenturf Jr., Gettysburg; Allen Lee Pitten- turf, Chambersburg, and Frank P. Pittenturf and Nancy Jane Pittenturf, both at home. Also surviving are a brother and two sisters: Mrs. Mac Murray, Coral Gables, Fla.; Harry Pittenturf, Marietta, and Mrs. Georgia Brady, Gettysburg.
