SALISBURY - Helen Faye Leach Miller, 91, of Salisbury passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017 at Genesis Eldercare. She was born on March 14, 1925 in Davie County to the late Ida Jenkins and the late John Leach. Helen and her husband Gideon owned and operated Gid's Grill. She later worked at Bamby Bakery also.
She was a longtime member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church and also attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church. In addition to her parents Ida and John she is preceded in death by her husband Gideon Cleveland Miller; sister, Sarah Stilley; and brother, Frank Leach. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Susan Miller Beeker (Terry) of Salisbury, grandchildren, Cindy Beeker Dailey (Colin) of Salisbury, Michael Beeker (Rhonda) of Greenville, S.C.; and great-grandchildren, Madelyn Dailey Matthew Dailey, Megan Dailey, Ada Beeker and Alex Beeker.
Visitation: 12-1 p.m, Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Parlor, 205 St. Paul's Church Road, Salisbury, NC 28146. Services: 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Bill Ketchie officiating. Burial: Rowan Memorial Park, 4125 Franklin Community Center Road, Salisbury, NC 28144.
