Clinton, Ill. July 24 -- William E. Beeker, traveling salesman of St. Louis, and Miss Effie Lue Crist of Urbana, were united in marriage at 2 o'clock this afternoon by Justice Michael Donohue. The couple departed immediately after the ceremony was performed and for the next few days will enjoy their honeymoon. The groom lives at 3324 Locust street in St. Louis, and they will make their home in that city. The bride is well known in Urbana.

OTTERBEIN -- Mrs. Elizabeth E. Beeker died unexpectedly of a heart attack in her home here Tuesday, and her body was discovered several hours later by her son, Joseph J. Beeker of near Otterbein.
Born at Creal Springs, Ill., she was the widow of William Earl Beeker who died in 1946. She formerly was employed in the office of the Painters and Decorators at Lafayette until her retirement four years ago. She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist and Hope Chapter 5, OES, the latter at Lafayette.
Surviving with the son are a sister, Mrs. Earl Shafer of Devils Lake, N. D., and a brother, Charles H. Crist, of Milwaukee.

Elizabeth married William Earl Beeker, son of Joseph Freemont Beeker and Martha I.
