Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. They lived in the same place in 1935.

2. Obituary: Reading Eagle: obituary of Edwin F. Burkhart on 6 Aug 2000 in Reading, Berks, PA. ³ Edwin F. Burkhart, 86, of 143 Fairmount Ave., Linstead, was dead on arrival Friday at 7:50 p.m. in Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Clara P.S. (Turbush) Burkhart.

Born in Exeter Township, he was a son of the late Floyd H. and Mary L. (Mull) Burkhart.

He was employed for 12 years as a full-fashion knitter by Rosedale Knitting Mills, Laureldale. He then worked for 21 years as a supervisor of the building and grounds department of the Exeter School District, retiring in 1979.

Burkhart was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Gibraltar.

He is survived by a son, Robert M., Pflugerville, Texas, and two stepsons, Harold J. Snyder, Laramie, Wyo., and Ward R. Snyder, Cheynne, Wyo.

Other survivors include a sister, Ida M. (Burkhart) Hafer, West Wyomissing.

There are also 15 grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, two stepgreat-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Burkhart was predeceased by a son, David Burkhart, and a daughter, Barbara (Burkhart) Bortz.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Lutz Funeral Home Inc. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.

Edwin married Pauline Catherine Homan, daughter of Merle Claude Homan Sr. and Mary Louise Bernhart. (Pauline Catherine Homan was born on 29 Dec 1914 in Reading, Berks, PA and died on 11 Nov 1997 in Tucson, Pima, AZ ^{5 6}.)
