He was born April 8, 1953 in St. John's, Newfoundland to the late Ronald D. and Olive Janes Hetrick. Retired from the PA State Police as a communications operator, he was also an instructor for the PA Fish & Boating Commission and the PA Game Commission, teaching boater and hunter safety courses. Bob was a leader of Boy Scout Troop 178 Order of the Arrow and a member of the National Turkey Assoc., the NRA and Penn Twp. Fire Co. He loved his precious Newfoundlands, Missy and Mister, and was an avid golfer. Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Linda K. Gahagan Hetrick; twin sons, Ronald (Melissa) Hetrick of Carlisle and Robert Hetrick of Newville; his brother, Richard D. (Lori) Hetrick of IL and his sister in law, Ella Gahagan of Reedsville. He dearly loved his grandchildren: Hailey, Kaden and Carson and was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kayla. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Chaplin Dan Summers officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday, July 10, 2015 from 6 to 8 PM and 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Spiri Trust Hospice, 260 W. High St., Gettysburg, PA 17325 or the Penn Twp. Fire Co., 1750 Pine Rd., Newville, PA 17241.
