Weitzel, yeoman, 62, living with wife Elizabeth, 56; and the family of their son Harrison, farmer, 32: wife Sarah, 30, son Charles, 7, and Mary, 5. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. Benjamin's real estate was valued at $13,300 and personal estate $400. Harrison's personal estate was $1,500.

2. Census in 1880 in Lower Heidelberg Twp., Berks, PA. ³ The 1880 census recorded in Lower Heidelberg Township south of turnpike: Benjamin Weitzel, retired farmer, 72, living with wife Elizabeth, 67. They and their parents were born in Pennsylvania.
Next door is their son, Harrison Weitzel, farmer, 43, with wife Sarah, 41; Charles, farm laborer, 17; and daughters Mary, 15, Sallie, 4, Emma, 2, and Jannie, 8 months old born Sep 1879. Also in the home is uncle Jonathan Weitzel, farm laborer, 15.

Sarah married Harrison Weitzel, son of Benjamin Weitzel and Elizabeth Bicher. (Harrison Weitzel was born on 10 Feb 1837 in , Berks, PA,⁴ died on 17 Jan 1911 ⁴ and was buried in Sinking Spring: Sinking Spring Cemetery, Berks, PA ⁴.)
