Noted events in his life were: 1. Obituary: Morning Republican: obituary of John B. Myers on 10 Apr 1897 in Chester, Delaware, PA. 2 Honeybrook people were startled by the sad news on Wednesday morning that a respected citizen, John B. Myers, had passed into eternity. Mr. Myers was one of the family of 'Squire Myers, who lived many years in the neighborhood of Cambridge, and who was noted for his just and honest and deliberate decisions as justice of the peace. The family was a large one. Mr. Myers lived for several years opposite the old hotel property on the farm of William Lemmon, which he sold in 1855 to Daniel Plank, and then removed to Honeybrook, where he resided the remainder of his life. He was married first to Maria Moore, daughter of Major Moore. She died in 1885, and he was married a second time in 1889 to Maria Ann Wilson, who survives him. John married Maria Moore, daughter of Major James Moore and Rebecca. (Maria Moore was born in 1819 in , Lancaster, PA,3 died on 8 Feb 1885 in Honey Brook Twp., Chester, PA 3 4 and was buried on 11 Feb 1885 in Honey Brook Presbyterian Cemetery, Honey Brook, Chester, Pennsylvania 3.) |
