Troxel; eight daughters: Arlene, wife of Elbert Obyle, Lebanon; Bernadine, wife of Howard Fittery, Jonestown RD 2; Barbara, Carol and Shirley, all at home; Doris, wife of William Swisher, Fredericksburg RD 1; Betty, wife of William Brandt, Lebanon RD 2; Janice, wife of John Nolan, Jonestown RD 1. Also surviving are three sons, Merlin and Gene, both of Jonestown RD 2; Donald, at home; 14 grandchildren; six brothers, John, Jonestown; Jacob, Annville; Henry, Jonestown RD 2; Wilson, Lebanon RD 3; Woodrow, Lebanon; David, Myerstown RD 1, and four sisters, Mrs. Sarah Rank, Bernville; Mrs. Anna Yedinak, Lebanon; Mrs. Grace Seibert, Jonestown and Mrs. Clara Funk, Lebanon.

George married Elsie Edna Troxell, daughter of John Harrison Troxel and Sarah Margaretha Strunk. (Elsie Edna Troxell was born on 12 Jan 1909 in Pennsylvania, United States,³ died on 3 Jun 1984 in Jonestown, Lebanon, Pennsylvania, United States ³ and was buried in Jul 1984 in Ebenezer, Lebanon, Pennsylvania, United States ³.)
