4. Obituary: on 13 Jun 1925 in Girardville, Schuylkill, PA. Nicholas is buried with the Tenaglia family, his name listed on stone, because after he died, his wife Viola married Philip Tenaglia.
Nicolo Di Prinzio (Nicholas in America, aka NIck) was born on 27 Jul 1896 in Guardiagrele, Chieti, Abruzzo, Italy, according to his WWI draft card which lists him as Nicholas Prinzio, coal miner, a single man living on Main Street in Girardville, PA, on 5 Jun 1917.
He was the son of Genaro DiPrinzio and Karmalia Forlanio who both had died before 1922 as stated on Nick's marriage documents on 19 Jun 1922 in Mahanoy City where he became the husband of Viola Casari.
The couple lived in Mahanoy City and had one child, Mary Di Prinzio born about 1924, who following Nick's death was raised by her stepfather Philip Tenaglia.
Both Nicholas and Philip worked as rock contractors who removed coal debris and dust from coal mines, which resulted in Nicholas early death at age 27 from anthracosis (black lung disease due to inhalation of coal dust particles). Nicholas likely knew Philip Tenaglia who then married their wife Viola. (Philip also died young at 39.)
Nick's PA death certificate was filed as "Nick Di Prinzzio" and his parents listed therein as Jerry Prinzzio and Carmel Forchan, the informant being Nick Tinare.
Nick's obituary in the Shenandoah Evening Herald on 15 Jun 1925 misprinted his name as "Nicholas Gipringi" (we know it's him because the only PA Death certificate filed that day was for Di Prinzzio and not Gipringi.) The obituary: "Nicholas Gipringi, aged 27 years. a well known resident of Girardville, died Saturday evening after a short illness of a complication of diseases. He was a member of St. Joseph's church. He is survived by his wife and one child. The funeral will take place Tuesday morning. A high mass of requiem will be celebrated at ten o'clock in St. Joseph's church, Girardville. Interment will be made in St. Joseph's cemetery, Fountain Springs."
The Mount Carmel News printed his name correctly on 17 Jun 1925: "Prizzio Funeral. The funeral of the late Nicholas Prizzio, who passed away last Friday at his home in Girardville, took place yesterday morning. Requiem mass was celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, Girardville, and burial made in the parish."

5. Obituary: Shenandoah Evening Herald on 15 Jun 1925 in Shenandoah, Schuylkill, PA. 6 NOTE: The only PA Death Certificate in Girardville on 13 Jun 1925 is for Nick Di Prinnzio, so somehow the newspaper misprinted his name as follows:
==
Nicholas Gipringi, aged 27 years. a well known resident of Girardville, died Saturday evening after a short illness of a complication of diseases. He was a member of St. Joseph's church. He is survived by his wife and one child. The funeral will take place Tuesday morning. A high mass of requiem will be celebrated at ten o'clock in St. Joseph's church, Girardville. Interment will be made in St. Joseph's cemetery, Fountain Springs.

6. Obituary: Mount Carmel News on 17 Jun 1925 in Mount Carmel, Northumberland, PA. 4 Prizzio Funeral
The funeral of he late Nicholas Prizzio, who passed away last Friday at his home in Giradville, took place yesterday morning. Requieum mass was celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, Girardville, and burial made in the parish cemetery.

7. Fact: On his WWI draft card his nearest relative is Domenico Prinzio of Guardiazele, Italy.

Nicholas married Viola Casari, daughter of Joseph Casari and Mary, on 19 Jun 1922 in Mahanoy City, Schuylkill, PA.1 (Viola Casari was born on 17 Oct 1898 in Mahanoy City, Schuylkill, PA,7 8 died on 4 Jul 1988 in Bristol, Bucks, PA, United States 7 8 9 and was buried on 8 Jul 1988 in Fountain Springs, Schuylkill, PA 7 9.)
