Newspaper: Shenandoah Evening Herald, 26 Oct 1954, Shenandoah, Schuylkill, PA. 1 2 Bride of Philadelphia Resident (photo of bride) Mrs. Joseph Frieri St. Nicholas Church, Philadelphia, was the scene of a beautiful fall wedding Sept. 26 when Miss Ida Tenaglia and Joseph J. Frieri were united in marriage. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Viola and the late Phillip Tenaglia of 35 West Main street, Girardville. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Frieri, of 115 Morris street, Philadelphia. The double-ring ceremony was performed by Rev. J. Fabrizzi in an altär setting of gladioli and green palms. The church organist presided. at the organ and played the traditional wedding processional and recessional. She also accompanied the vocalist, Miss Ida Monti, a friend of the couple, as she sang "Ave Maria", and "Mother Beloved." While the bride placed a bouquet of flowers at the Blessed Mother's altar, she sang "Mother At Your Feet Is Kneeling." Given in marriage by brother, Anthony J. Tenaglia, bride here was a vision of loveliness in a white silk-taffeta gown, with Elizabethian neckline and long tight pointed sleeves. The tight fitting bodice was edged with a of lace embroidered with sequins. The bouffant skirt had impressed pleats at the side, and inside the pleats were lace motives also embroidered with sequins, and a long flowing train. Her fingertip length veil fell from a hat adorned with sequins. She carried white briad dal prayer book topped with white orchid from which fell streamers of ivy and stephanotis. Miss Marie, Ardivini, of Philadelphia, was the maid honor. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Vera Morelli, of Upper Darby, a cousin of the bride, and Miss Rosemarie Marasculo, of Ardsley. Miss Ardi- Frieri | vini wore a ballerina-length gown iridescent champagne-gold taffeta and the bridesmaids were gowned alike in green taffeta. Their headpieces were velvet bandeaus of the same color as their gowns. They wore matching shoes and carried arm bouquets of autumn flowers in shades of yellow and mint green tied with matching ribbons. The mother of the bride Was charming in a day-length of deep plum velvet, a mauve feather hat, matching accessories and an orchid corsage. The bridegroom's mother was equally attractive in a pale blue lace dress with matching accessories and a red lipped pale orchid corsage. Nick Cipriani was the best man and the ushers were Thomas Ruggiero and Nick Triolo, of Philadelphia. The men in the wedding party wore blue tuxedo afternoon wear with white mum boutonnieres. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Penn-Sherwood Hotel after which the happy couple left for a honeymoon trip to Europe. They boarded the S.S. Cristoforo Colombo and are touring Italy, France and Switzerland. They will return from Southampton, England, on the USS United States. Mrs. Frieri is a graduate of Butler Township High School and also Temple University. She was graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Hygiene. Her husband attended the University Pennsylvania and is a graduate of Temple Law School. He has an established law praçtice at present in the Dewey Building in Philadelphia. The couple will make their home in Philadelphia.
