Clemens Jr., 33, of RR1 Sunbury died at 7:52 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 1999, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born July 5, 1965, in Sunbury, a son of James I. Clemens Sr. of Milton and Shirley K. (Strawser) Lahr of Herndon. He was married to the former Michele A. Bucher on Oct. 18, 1986.
He was a 1983 graduate of Shikellamy High School and the SUN Area Career and Technology Center, New Berlin, where he placed first in auto mechanics in the state. Mr. Clemens owned and operated a farm in Upper Augusta Township and was also employed as an auto mechanic by Perry Transport, Sunbury. He was an agricultural products distributor for Conklin Co. Inc.
He was a member of the Pennsylvania Farmers Union.
Mr. Clemens was a member of United Lutheran Church, RR4 Sunbury.
Surviving, in addition to his parents and wife, are two sons, Zachary B. and Adam T., both at home; one brother, Jon C. of RR1 Paxinos; one sister, Jamie K. Badman of Sunbury; half brother, Josiah S. of Milton; paternal grandmother, Martha B. Clemens of Sunbury; maternal grandmother, Florence P. Strawser of Sunbury; stepfather, Robert P. Lahr of Herndon; and stepmother, Sharon A. Clemens of Milton.
There will be no viewing. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at United Lutheran Church, RR4 Sunbury, by the Rev. John Fenton.
Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Trust Fund for Zachary and Adam Clemens, in care of Swineford National Bank, 835 N. Fourth St., Sunbury, Pa. 17801.
Funeral arrangements were by the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury.
