1. Newspaper: The Daily Item, 7 Feb 1967, Sunbury, Northumberland, PA. 1 Nancy Jo Duff Weds Mr. Bucher In Trinity Rites

Miss Nancy Jo Duff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Duff, 304 South Third Street, became the bride of Airman Tommy Eugene Bucher, of the U.S. Air Force stationed at Duluth, Minn., son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Bucher, 110 Alice Street, Sunbury, in a double ring wedding ceremony performed in Trinity Lutheran Church, this city. Rev. Henry L. Reed was the officiating minister. Mrs. Olga Weld presided at the organ, playing the selections, "Call Me Thine Own," "The Glory of God," "Wedding Prayer," "Holy, Holy, Holy," "The Lord's Prayer," "O Perfect Love," "Alleluia, Alleluia," and "The Heavens Declare the Glory of God."

Mrs. Jean L. Faux, Baltimore, Md., sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Miss Della J. Hollister and Miss Kathy M. Kerstetter, Sunbury, served as bridesmaids. Victoria Susan Faux of Baltimore was ring bearer.

Glen D. Bucher, Northumberland, was best man for his brother. Ushers were John D. Bucher, another brother of the bridegroom, and Ronald B. Holub, a cousin, both of Sunbury.

White pompons, mums, and fern filled vases at the altar where the bride's father presented her in marriage. The bride wore a floor-length gown of white satin which descended to a train at the back. The square-necked bodice was trimmed with seed pearls and sequins and had long petti-point sleeves. The back was fastened with self-covered buttons to the empire waistline finished with a satin bow above the A-line skirt. Her headpiece was a crown of seed pearls, to which was fastened her elbow-length veil of silk illusion.

She carried a bridal bouquet of white roses and stephanotis. The matron of honor wore a toned green gown styled with an empire waistline accented by velvet daisies. The top of the gown was of green velvet, with the skirt of green crepe in a lighter shade. Bridesmaids were gowned similarly to the honor attendant, but in shades of gold. They carried sprayed pompons, daisies, and fern. The flower girl wore an empire-waisted gown of gold, in floor length; the top of the frock was of light gold crepe, and the bottom of velvet in a deeper shade of gold.

She carried a basket of sprayed pompons and daisies. The bridegroom's mother wore a suit of apple green color, a flowered hat, and black accessories, while the mother of the bride wore a two-piece ensemble in camel color and gray, with black accessories. They wore corsages of white gardenias with fern. Helen Harold, grandmother of the bride, wore a white carnation corsage. The bridegroom wore his dress blues.

Other men of the wedding party were attired in dark business suits. A reception was held in the church social room, with 150 guests in attendance. Women of the L.C.W. of the church served. They were Mrs. Mary Jane Howerter, Mrs. Grace Holdren, Mrs. Josephine Bloom, Miss Betty Boyer, and Mrs. Helen Cressinger, friends of the bridegroom. Guests were present from Milton, Norristown, Northumberland, Chambersburg, the states of Virginia and Maryland, and Sunbury and the local area.

The newly married couple went on a trip to the Poconos following the reception. Their future residence will be in Duluth, Minn., where the bridegroom is stationed at Duluth International Airport. Both bride and groom are graduates, the groom from Sunbury High School, and the bride from Shikellamy High School.
