Catharine, widow of Joseph K. Kehler, died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B. F. Williams, at Wilkes-Barre, after an illness of two weeks from heart trouble. Mrs. Kehler was one of Shenandoah's first residents, coming here In 1867. She resided here until three years ago when she located at Sunbury, with her daughter, who later removed to Wilkes-Barre. She was 84 years old and active until two weeks ago. Mrs. Kehler was a motherly woman and held in the highest esteem by her large circle of friends. She was of a kind and loving disposition endeared herself to all with whom she came in contact. Besides Mrs. Williams, two other daughters and sons survive, as follows: Mrs. S. W. Yost, wife of the cashier of the F First National Bank; Mrs. Thomas Glenwright, of Minersville, and Monroe H. Kehler, of Harrisburg, and Joseph and Oscar, of Allentown. The body was brought to town at noon today and taken to the home of Mr. Yost, No. 113 North Jardin street, from where the funeral will take place Friday afternoon.
